Difference between fabrics with inherent fire retardant properties and fabrics with treatment:

Fabrics made with filaments that, due to their own characteristics, are already flame retardant (inherent), provide the fabric with these same properties on a permanent basis, they are not lost over time or over time. washes or wear.

Fabrics with fire retardant treatment are usually a 100% cotton fabric to which, during or after the dyeing process, a chemical finish is applied that gives that fabric fire retardant characteristics with a limited duration, since with use and washing this finish is lost until it disappears and loses its fire-retardant properties.

WHEN SEWED BELTS ARE ADVISED AND WHEN SEGMENTED BELTS IS IT JUST A QUESTION OF AESTHETICS?

Segmented bands have a double advantage over stitched ones: one of them is greater comfort, since the space between the band segments allows air and perspiration to pass through and also gives a little elasticity to the garment; And the second is that by not presenting any relief, it prevents the drops of molten metals from being slowed down and slipping over them.

On sewn tapes, molten metals could get stuck on the edge of the tape and cause holes in the fabric with risks to the user’s safety.

ARE CATEGORY III GARMENTS WITH PERSONALIZED LOGOS STILL CERTIFIED? HOW SHOULD THE LOGOS BE?

On garments manufactured under the EN ISO 11612 Standard, logos or embroidery can be placed, but these must always be flame retardant.

They should not have protrusions that could cause the retention of molten metals.
